A cutting-edge investigation into the effects of unexpected events on prediction errors and the updating of predictive models, as per the Predictive Processing (PP) theory of perception. Through extensive research and analysis, this experiment offers valuable insights into human cognition and decision-making processes. Building upon a previous study, an online replication was expertly developed, utilizing the power of PsychoPy, a Python-based software, to create a seamless and interactive user experience. By leveraging the capabilities of PsychoPy, this online replica ensures precise data collection and empowers participants to engage in a meaningful exploration of the fascinating interplay between unexpected events and cognitive processes.
